The Children's Garden is a wonderful place to relax and encourage imaginative play. The centerpiece of the 2-acre garden is Pooh's garden, complete with Eeyore's house, Owl's house up in a tree, and a sandpit in the center for digging and playing.

Circling Pooh's garden are several other themed gardens including a Butterfly Garden, The Three Bears Garden, Old McDonald's Farm, McGregor's Carrot Patch, and an Alphabet garden displaying plants that start with each letter of the alphabet.

Windchimes hung high in the trees add a pleasant sound to the garden and a view of the lake adds a peaceful element. A small children's playground offers bouncy horses and a slide. Trees partially shade the area and there is a porta-potty. There is no drinking water so bring something to drink on a hot day. There are plenty of picnic tables for playing a game or eating lunch so plan to spend some time here.

To get there, take I-20 to exit 80, Clemson Rd. Head north on Clemson Rd and take the exit for Two Notch Rd. (US-1). You will take a left then a quick right- the entrance to the Clemson Sandhills Research Center is just a little to the left of the exit. Look for the signs. Follow the signs to the parking area for the Children's Garden.
